Matthew 5 verses 14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven”.
Where is your heart, where do you see the need in your community and how can you help?
How can we respond like Jesus in showing love and mercy to those in our local communities?
We’re excited to share some good news with our New Community family! We’ve recently formed a Social Impact Team that will be meeting twice each month, including once a month with some of the Elders and senior leadership team. This team is dedicated to listening, learning, praying, and planning so that we can continue moving towards our shared vision of changed churches, changed lives, and changed communities.
Below is just a snapshot of the many different initiatives taking place across various venues in the Bexley and Greenwich boroughs or initiatives in which church members volunteer.
If any of these spark a passion in you and you’d like to get involved — or if you have a heart for something in your own area and would value support and guidance on how to get started — we’d love to hear from you, get in touch!
